SIC serves the business community of the eight Métis Settlements in Alberta by promoting developmental, business-driven economic development in these settlements and enabling access to capital by providing tailored and diverse debt financing. In 2021, SIC underwent a comprehensive rebrand, establishing a fresh identity. SBC worked with SIC to create new branding and modernize their website.

Since its inception in 1985, Settlement Investment Corp has supported over 600 businesses and distributed over 39 million dollars to Metis businesses.
The Problem
The SIC rebrand and website redesign was based on bringing the organization into the digital age. The rebrand required juggling the deep heritage of the organization within the Metis community and their future vision and goals. The project also presented an opportunity to create a seamless customer experience by allowing SIC customers to apply for funding through the new website.

Despite SIC’s forward thinking organization culture, their digital presence was quite dated. Our team incorporated the refreshed brand kit to create a site that celebrated SIC. The new site allowed their customers to seamlessly access funding applications and apply directly through the site with ease. This combined with the modernized and clean design brought SIC’s website into the 21st century.
